Gypset Purgatory
Basel Switzerland

Presenting the publication Gypset Purgatory, tracing Balinese tourist fodder from its jungle origins to the suburban outskirts of Prague where it was reproduced as a ceramic multiple, its pseudo-singular voodoo authenticity reworked and serialised in the former Eastern Bloc.

Flowers from the Goetheanum, sandwiched between glass, partially dried and tending towards rot, floating between guests.

A durational music performance by Nathan Gray and Clare Wohlnick took place at the vernissage.

Supported by the Australia Council for the Arts.
